Animal welfare - inspection and enforcement
Trading Standards ensure that the statutory provisions of animal health and welfare legislation are adhered to in West Lothian and ensure that disease control measures are met in order to minimise any potential risk of disease to members of the public.
Trading Standards provide and maintain emergency contingency plans in the event of disease outbreak to ensure a co-ordinated approach in the event of any such outbreak.
