Emergencies - emergency plans
Most of us make plans for unexpected minor emergencies, whether by installing a fire extinguisher, carrying a first aid kit or leaving a spare key with a trusted neighbour. On a larger scale, Government, councils, the emergency services, businesses and other organisations make plans for unexpected incidents and disasters.
Like all councils, we have developed plans and procedures for the co-ordination and management of major incidents and civil emergencies.
A major incident may require the implementation of special arrangements by one or more of the emergency services, the NHS or the council
