Transportation Advice on Planning Applications

 

PLANNING APPLICATIONS


The Transportation Development Planning team is responsible for giving advice on all transportation related matters for planning applications associated with development proposals.

Any persons intending to carry out a development in West Lothian are advised to make early contact with the team to discuss the transportation impact of their proposals prior to submitting a planning application. The team are able to give advice on a variety of matters such as the requirement for a Transport Assessment, Road Safety Audit requirements, parking standards and access and layout standards and design.

The team are currently reviewing their policy and design guidance documentation and it is expected that this will be available in a downloadable format later in the year.
