West Lothian Housing Strategy 2012-2017 (Draft)
The draft strategy sets out the key issues, outcomes and actions for housing across all tenures in West Lothian for the next 5 years. Six key themes have been identified: Meeting Housing Need and Demand, Housing Options, Independent Living, Improving Communities, House Condition Fuel Poverty and Climate Change.
The draft Strategy has been prepared in consultation with a range of stakeholders, partners and members of the public. Stakeholder events were held in May 2011 and further meetings have taken place with tenants, Council staff, partners and stakeholders to develop the draft strategy.
It is an essential part of the development of the Local Housing Strategy that consultation is undertaken. The consultation aims to engage people in identifying the key housing priorities for West Lothian for the coming 5 years. The consultation on the draft strategy will enable a wide range of people to provide input to the development of the final strategy. A questionnaire has been prepared to enable people to give their views on the key issues, outcomes and actions that are included in the draft Local Housing Strategy.
