Sheltered Housing - Council Tenants

If you feel that you or a member of your household who will be moving with you has a specific health and housing need then you or they can apply to have a Health and Housing Needs Assessment carried out.

What is a Health and Housing Needs Assessment?

The process allows applicants to be assessed in accordance with their health or housing needs in relation to the following categories:

• Housing Need - requiring an adaptation to their existing property or future home in order to assist with the applicants medical condition or disability
• Health Need - identified health need and the applicant's current house is unsuitable due to their medical condition or disability
• Social Support - applicant assessed as needing to move in order to give or receive support
