Homeless People Housing Advice
West Lothian Council has a strategic duty to house homeless applicants. The council also has a duty to provide advice and assistance to those threatened with homelessness.
The Councils aims are as follows
- To reduce the overall levels of homelessness in the district
- To reduce the incidence of repeat homelessness in West Lothian
- To prevent homelessness in West Lothian
- To ensure that accommodation and support services are delivered within a partnership framework
- To minimise the damage homelessness causes to families, communities and neighbourhoods
Local Housing Allowance
A new way of working out and paying Housing Benefit for tenants of private landlords.
