Food on the menu at health events
Food was the theme at two recent events organised by Armadale Together for Health.
Fruit salad and vegetable soup was on the menu at the parent and child cooking session.
And porridge and fruit proved popular at the healthy breakfast promotion.
Both events took place at Armadale Community Centre.
Ceilidh at Academy
Staff and S2 pupils at Armadale Academy held a Scottish event, with a ceilidh and Burns Supper on the menu.
Organised by the history department, the pupils were able to brush up on their dance skills as well as hone their organisational abilities.
The ceilidh and Burns Supper were part of an interdisciplinary event.

Bella's big day
Armadale woman Bella Jones celebrated her 105th birthday on 19 January.
There is 101 years difference between Bella and her youngest great-great grandchild.
She was born in Springburn, Glasgow, but Bella's dad moved through to work in the Armadale brickworks when she was a young child. And, apart from a brief spell when she lived in England, Bella has stayed all her adult life in Armadale.
With four sisters and five brothers, Bella was never short of company. And she has carried that great love of being with family and friends throughout her life.
She worked as a domestic for a Lord and Lady, and had two sons.
Bella, who has four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, loves knitting and playing dominoes.
And her secret for a long and healthy life: "Porridge and hard work," she said.
Bella, who received a visit from Provost Tom Kerr and the Deputy Lieutenant of West Lothian, George McNeill, held a party with family and friends at Colinshiel Court.
Cyclepath closed until mid February
The National Cyclepath 75, to the east of Armadale Station, is likely to be closed until the middle of February.
A new road is currently being built to pass under the Bathgate to Airdrie rail line and it will be at least nine weeks before a temporary diversion path is available.
In the meantime, for those travelling east take the B8084 from the west side of the station to the traffic light crossroads in Bathville. Turn right onto the B708 between Bathville and Windyknowe on the western side of Bathgate. At the traffic lights bear right onto the A89 into Bathgate. Turn right at the roundabout and take the B7002 Turn back onto NCN75 beyond the health centre by way of a bridge beneath the rail line to the left of the road.
Those travelling west should adjust the turns accordingly and follow the same route.
Roaring success at Dale food group
The Dale Food Group's first day of trade at Armadale Community Centre proved to be a great success.
They will now be there every Wednesday from 9.30 to 11.30am.

Don't worry if you're not very active at the moment, or are recovering from injury or illness - you will be able to walk at your own pace and there are always options of shorter walks. Our walks are led by trained walk leaders and last between 30-60 minutes.
The groups are friendly and welcoming and will support new walkers to build up their pace and distance. For more information or for a programme, please contact Laura Dunkel, Health Walk Coordinator on 01506 771896 or laura.dunkel@westlothian.gov.uk
