Armadale - New Primary School Consultation
The Education Executive agreed at its meeting on 1 March 2012 to undertake a public consultation on the site, catchment area and name of a proposed new primary school to the south of Armadale. This will commence on 19 March 2012 and finish on 17 May 2012.
Full details of the consultation will be available on 19 March 2012.
Non-denominational school catchment areas - Brucefield housing development
West Lothian Education Executive decided at its meeting on 19 March 2012 to agree to the proposal to re-align the catchment boundaries with the west edge of Brucefield housing site so that it lies entirely in the catchment areas of Bellsquarry Primary School and The James Young High School. This will take place with immediate effect.
Bathgate Primary Schools catchment area consultation
West Lothian Council Education Executive decided at meetings on the 1 March 2012 and 13 March 2012 to agree the proposal in the consultation paper altering the catchment areas for Bathgate primary schools but with the amendment to retain Academy Place in the catchment areas of Balbardie Primary School and St Mary's RC Primary School. This will take place with immediate effect.
In addition, the Council would consider the transfer of the Sibcas (Easton Road) site to the catchment area of Windyknowe Primary School. This would involve a further consultation.
