Trading standards and consumer advice
Trading Standards give advice and information, and protect consumers and businesses in West Lothian by inspecting trader premises, testing equipment, sampling goods and investigating complaints.
- CONSUMER DIRECT (new window) provides clear, practical, consumer advice online or by telephone on 08454 04 05 06. The advice and information they give is free and you can call as many times as you need to. Minicom users can call 08451 28 13 84. Calls are charged at no more than 4p per minute from a BT landline. Call charges from other landline providers or mobile phones may vary. Minicom users can call 08451 281 384.
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE
It has recently come to the attention of Trading Standards that particular Beko, Leisure, Flavel, New World and Belling cookers with a separate oven and grill can, if they are not operated in accordance with the user instructions, pose a serious risk to health.
