BLACKBURN CONNECTED - 

  • Reading Group

This meets the second Wednesday of the month at 1.30pm. If you are interested in reading, meeting people  and having a chat over a tea/coffee, then come along and join in. The next meeting is 12th November.

BROXBURN LIBRARY -

  • Book Club

The next meeting of the Book Club is on Tuesday 25th November at 6.30pm in the library. We will be discussing "On Chesil Beach" by Ian McEwan. Everyone is welcome and tea and biscuits will be provided.

  • James Bond Draw!

Enter our exciting James Bond draw by answering the following question :

What is the title and who is the author of the "Bond" novel published on May 28th 2008 to mark the centenary of Ian Fleming's birth?

The winner's prize is "Quantum of Solace", a collection of short stories by Ian Fleming and a DVD box set "James Bond" : the ultimate golden triple pack containing 3 Bond films.

Forms can be collected from the library and must be returned before Wednesday 19th November. The winner will be announced on Friday 21st November.

EAST CALDER LIBRARY -

  • East Calder Book Group

The next meeting will be on 27th November at 6.45pm and the book of the month is "A short history of tractors in Ukrainian" by Monica Lewycka. This is sure to be an interesting and lively evening and all are welcome. If you would like to read this book, then ask at the library desk.

  • Children In Need

Many thanks to everyone who attended the Coffee Morning at East Calder Library. We raised £65.00 for Children In Need.

FAULDHOUSE LIBRARY -

  • Reading Group

The Reading Group meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 6.30pm, so come along on 25th November and join in the lively discussion on Charles Dicken's "  A Christmas Carol" and "The Pickwick Papers".

  • Friday Clubs

Primary 1-3 - Come along and listen to a few stories and join in with the crafts 2.00pm - 3.00pm.

Primary 4-7. Want to learn how to knit, sew, cross stitch or make cards and jewellery? Then join the Busy Bees Club 3.15pm - 4.15pm every Friday.

  • Chatterbooks

If you are Primary 5 - 7 and like reading and talking about books, then Chatterbooks is for you. We meet on the first Tuesday of every month from 4.00pm to 5.00pm and discuss books, characters and have lots of book related crafts.
