LANTHORN LIBRARY (Livingston) -

  • Book Group

Lanthorn Book Group meets on the first Thursday of every month. and the last meeting for this year will be on 4th December at 6.45pm. As well as discussing this month's book, Elizabeth Hay's novel set in a Canadian radio station in 1975, entitled "Late nights on air", we will have some festive refreshments and good, lively conversation. Everyone welcome.

  • Girl Talk

Books for the Modern Woman! Have a look at this collection, speciallly tailored, just for the girls. Laugh and cry at the fortunes of today's women, from authors like Marian Keyes, Janet Evanovich and Jodi Picoult.

  • Noisy Nite

The last teen evening of this year will be on Monday 22nd December at 6.15pm. There will be a "mystery guest" appearing and this is a ticket only event, so please ask at the library desk for more information.

  • Mystery Saturday Club

Saturday 15th November at 10.00am - entry by ticket only. Refreshments, lively fun for all.

  • Christmas Countdown - Christmas starts here!

Friday 21st November at 2.30pm - Make an advent calendar (ticket event)

Thursday 27th November at 6.30pm - make tree decorations

The next meeting is at 3.45pm on Tuesday 11th November and the book of the month is "Princess Emily and the beautiful fairy". Lots of chat, meet new friends and join in the activities - all welcome.

To mark Road Safety Week, Linlithgow Children's Library is running a road safety quiz. Come along and use the road safety website with loads of games and fun and find the safe places to cross.

  • Rhyme Time

Free fun for babies - come along to our monthly rhyme time for songs, games and baby cuddles.

  • Storytime

We have a weekly storytime on Tuesday at 2.30pm for 3 and 4 year olds. Please contact the library on  01506 775490 to book a place.

WEST CALDER LIBRARY -

  • West Calder Reading Group

The next meeting of the Reading Group is on Tuesday 4th November at 6.30pm in the library. We will discussing "Restless" by William Boyd. Everyone is welcome and tea and biscuits will be provided.
